bridal beauty.

I would like to apologize for my lack of posts lately. I have been so busy with work and wedding planning (I'm in full wedding mode now!) so it has been difficult to find time to sit down and write something. With all this wedding planning going on I thought it would only be proper to do a post on just that. We are less than four months away and so I have begun to collect inspiration for my "bride look" as I soon have trials for hair and make up. I once read that a bride should look like herself on her wedding day...only a better version. No fake tanning, no hair extensions, no new make up looks, etc. I completely agree with this statement as we should not try to be someone we are not, and sometimes too much make up, jewelry, false nails can take away from our natural beauty.

Hair: I want to keep this simple and classic. I usually have my hair down or in a bun but for the big day I'm thinking a low bun or modern French twist. I've decided not to have my hair down as I would just be playing with it all night and I don't often have the opportunity to wear an up do.

Makeup: I want to keep a little bit of my cat eye look but not too extreme.. a softer version. I want an overall clean look but add my signature touch of black liner. I'm sticking with a nude/light pink lip and thinking possibly a red pout for the reception?

Nails: I thought it would be fun to add a little sparkle to my nails, after all it is new years eve! I like the idea of adding glitter to only half the nail or to just the ring finger. I'm going to try this out and see what happens, and my pedicure... Red of course!
